After dropping to $449 and then coming back up to its regular $499, we’ve once again seen the Galaxy Chromebook drop lower than it has been for quite some time.
The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 is now available from Amazon for just $399, which makes this a pretty compelling price point as we edge closer and closer to Black Friday.
This particular implementation of the Galaxy Chromebook targets users that want something with a little more power inside, along with those who can’t get enough storage space on their devices. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 comes in two varieties: one features 16GB of onboard storage and costs $439, while this other model (the one at the link above) packs 64GB of storage and costs $399. That’s twice as much storage as some Chromebooks come with, and for less than $100 more, we’ve got to imagine that some of you will be taking advantage of this deal.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 features:
– 11.6-inch display (1366×768)
– 5400RPM hard drive for local storage (64GB or 16GB options available)
– 2GB of RAM (4GB option available on some models)
Looking past the Galaxy name and into the core specs here, we’re looking at a pretty basic Chromebook that’s powered by an Intel Celeron 2955U processor clocked at 1.40GHz with burst speeds up to 2.70GHz. The of the specifications include 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, a webcam with a built-in microphone, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a battery that’s capable of up to 7 hours of use on a single charge.
Black Friday is just around the corner and we’re expecting some pretty great deals from all kinds of retailers, including Amazon. If you were considering this Galaxy Chromebook as an option for yourself or as a gift during the holiday season, now would be the time to buy as there is no guarantee that it’ll be at this price tomorrow or even throughout Black Friday next week. There have been reports from those who have been watching the Galaxy prices drop that they will most likely hit $249 next month during Cyber Monday.
